Here are some
common sense tips that will
help you with your projects. We offer a 100% Satisfaction
Guarantee and we suggest that you review the Safety Precautions and Warranty Notice that is engraved on
the bottom of the worktop and published on the "Warranty"
page.
 |
DO NOT USE the giant garbage can
that is provided by your municipal refuge
removal service. We want you to be able to use the
Barreltop Workcenter on all of your projects, both inside and
outside. So, go to your local hardware retailer or
homecenter and purchase a clean new trashcan.
|
 |
Empty the
trashcan on a regular basis - and keep it clean,
too. The whole concept behind this product
is to make a lightweight and mobile work area. If
the project is messy, wash the top when you are finished
- use your hose and scrub pad. It is OK to wash out
the trashcan every now and then, too! No worrries from
rust, or splinters, or rot. |
 |
If the project is really
messy, it is OK to cover the worktop with a
plastic trash bag or newspaper - like when you are spraying
oil based paints. Also, use a trash bag in the trashcan
to help collect messy scraps - like trimmings from
wallcoverings, or paint film scraped off a window, or food
scraps from a party. |
 |
If the trashcan has wheels,
be careful to avoid tip over - just keep a little weight in
the bottom. A wheeled trashcan is great for transporting
electrical cords or compressor hoses - now add the Barreltop
to make a great portable worktable. |
 |
PVC legs make the table more stable -
To make sure the legs fit tight, you may need to
wrap the end of the pipe with a little tape. The plastic
worktop and sockets may expand and contract with
temperature changes. |
 |
Very Important! - This
worktop is not designed to replace your heavy duty work
bench. Make sure to place any heavy objects in the
center of the worktop - over the center of the trashcan
- lighter tools and parts go in the recessed areas
at the edge of the worktop. Use your
saw-horses when cutting boards with your
circular saw. |
 |
To keep objects from slipping - use a
rubber pad - especially under paint cans or
paint trays. |
